Visiting Princeton Friends
Throughout the year Princeton Friends School will offer opportunities for prospective families to learn more about what we offer, from curriculum implementation to our approach to Progressive Quaker Education.
Spring and summer are a wonderful time to visit campus through a personalized, one-on-one experience, offering a closer look at learning in action beyond the pace of larger events.
Please check back often as we add additional campus events for prospective families, or email our team to join a schoolwide event.

| Inside Admissions: What Every Parent Should Know About Choosing a School A Free Virtual Workshop for Parents (Multiple Dates) |
|
Choose Your Date: November 10, November 19, December 3, December 14 | 8:00–8:45 p.m. Independent school admissions can feel like a maze of applications, visits, interviews, recommendations, deadlines, and financial aid forms. It doesn’t have to. Join the Princeton Friends admission team for a free, 45-minute virtual workshop designed to help parents understand the independent school admission process and, more importantly, make thoughtful decisions about the school environment in which their child will thrive. We’ll pull back the curtain on the admission process, including timelines and applications, school visits and interviews, recommendations, financial aid, common misconceptions about independent schools, and what families can do now to prepare. We’ll also share questions worth asking as you visit schools and consider not simply, “Can my child get in?” but, “Is this the right place for my child and our family?” This is not a session about learning the “right” answers for an admission interview. It’s about becoming a more informed and confident participant in the process. Choose from four evening sessions. Each session covers the same material and includes time for questions. |
| Let’s Talk Tuition: Can We Afford Independent School? A Free Virtual Seminar for Parents (November 4) |
|
Wednesday, November 4 | 7:30 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. Let’s talk about the part of independent school admissions that families are often thinking about, but may not know how to talk about. Money. What does independent school actually cost? Who receives financial aid? Where does that aid come from? Is financial aid only for families with very limited incomes? How does applying for aid affect admission? And how can a family determine whether independent school is financially sustainable for them… not just next year, but over time? Join Enrollment & Financial Aid experts from Friends Schools for a candid, judgment-free conversation designed to demystify tuition and financial aid. We’ll explain how financial aid works, what families can expect from the application process, how tuition and fees are structured, common myths about who qualifies for assistance, and how to think about affordability, value, and long-term planning. If you’ve ever looked at independent school tuition and thought, “That sounds wonderful, but it could never be an option for us,” this conversation is especially for you. You don’t need to know whether you’ll apply to Princeton Friends or even whether independent school is ultimately right for your family. Come with your questions and leave with better information. Register here. |
| Ready for What’s Next: A Young Alumni Panel (December 10th) |
|
What happens after Princeton Friends? Come hear directly from the people who can answer that question best: our young alumni. Graduates currently attending public and independent high schools and colleges will return to campus for a candid conversation about where their paths have taken them and how their Princeton Friends education prepared them for what came next. They’ll talk about the transition to high school, academics and workload, finding community, advocating for themselves, discovering their strengths, and the skills and habits they carried with them from Princeton Friends. For current and prospective families and students, this is an opportunity to look beyond test scores and traditional measures of “outcomes” and meet the young people those outcomes represent: capable learners who know themselves, engage deeply, communicate confidently, and are ready for what comes next. Join us for the panel from 5:30–6:15 p.m., followed by food and informal conversation with alumni, current families, and members of the Princeton Friends community. Register here. |
| Meet with the Director |
|
Our Director of Enrollment & Financial Aid, Devin DeShields, is available for one-on-one meetings in person or virtually throughout the week. These conversations are a chance to ask questions, share your hopes, and talk openly about what you're looking for in a school community. |
